Baptism
Baptism makes each of us a part of the family of God. Baptisms are usually done as part of a regular Worship service. Our Mt. Calvary family shares the joys and responsibility that come with Christian baptism with each family. If you would like to baptize your child at Mt. Calvary, we ask the following:
- Faith and belief in Christ on the part of at least one of the parents of the child who will be baptized.
- Reading the “What Every Lutheran Should Know About The Sacrament of Baptism” booklet.
- Family appointment with Pastor.
- Completing the Information for Baptism form and submitting it to the church office.
Adult Baptism
Mt. Calvary also baptizes adults. Baptisms are usually done as part of a regular Worship service. Baptisms can also be done at the lake, if so desired. If you would like to be baptized at Mt. Calvary, we ask the following:

- Reading the “What Every Lutheran Should Know About The Sacrament of Baptism” booklet.
- Attendance in new member class and/or appointment with Pastor.
- Completing the “Adult Information for Baptism” form and submitting to the church office.

Some people also take to class to find our about Lutheran tradition and have a refresher course in the teachings of Jesus. There are six sessions. After completion of the new member class, participants are invited to become communicant members of Mt. Calvary.
Weddings
Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life. At Mt. Calvary, we emphasize the importance of growing in the Christian faith as the best way to have a successful marriage. Therefore we ask couples who are contemplating marriage to worship with us at least three months. We also encourage you to read the Bible and spend time praying together. Mt. Calvary is not in the “business” of selling weddings. Rather, we seek to help couples launch lifelong marriages based on Biblical principles. We wish to do everything possible to make your day a pleasing and memorable experience.
Funerals
We stand ready to assist grieving families by providing personal memorial services for those who have died and spiritual care and bereavement support for those who are grieving. Funerals can be scheduled with our Pastor.
