Mt. Calvary’s youth group meets every Tuesday during the school year. Kids are invited to come down and hang out after school. They can work on homework, watch a movie, play games, or just connect with friends. Dinner is served at 5:15, followed by game time. Then the Jr. High kids split off for Faith Incubators confirmation class with Pastor Buecheler while the Sr. High kids have Bible Study with the youth leader, Miss Sophie.
Throughout the year there are a variety of fun events and opportunities for service including: game nights, lock-ins, Trunk-or-Treat, and Pumpkin Olympics, and Breakfast with Santa. Miss Sophie also organizes fun events like hiking and campling trips.
Every summer, there is a mission trip to Carpentaria where the kids enjoy a fun beach getaway while putting on a VBS for a local church. Once every three years, there is an opportunity to travel to the National Youth Gathering (NYG) and gather with other Lutheran youth from around the country. The next NYG will take place during the summer of 2025 in New Orleans.
